Use the AWS S3 Browser to:
- Download a single file (use the AWS CLI to download the contents of a folder or directory)
- Upload files
- Delete files
You must have GBDX credentials to sign into the GBDX Dashboard. Your credentials are the email address and password you used to sign up for a GBDX account.
Log in to https://dashboard.geobigdata.io with your GBDX credentials.
Under Account Settings, Account Information, select the "S3 browser" button.
The S3 Browser button will take you to the AWS S3 Management Console. The file structure for your account will be displayed.
The "Download" link will be grayed out until you select a specific file. Directories and folders cannot be downloaded using the S3 Browser.
In this example, the "Download" link is grayed out because a file has not been selected yet.
Once a specific file is selected, the options to open, download, download as, and copy the path are available. The Make Public option will not work due to security restrictions.
Downloading multiple files or folders is not supported in the AWS S3 Browser. Each file must be downloaded separately. To download multiple files or folders, use the S3 Storage Service with AWS CLI.
Not all features offered in the AWS S3 Browser work with GBDX data. For example, files cannot be set to public.
The AWS S3 Browser does not support uploading files larger than 80 GB.
