Use the S3 Console to:
- Download a single file (use the AWS CLI to download the contents of a folder or directory)
- Upload files
- Delete files
You must have GBDX credentials to sign into the GBDX Dashboard. Your credentials are the email address and password you used to sign up for a GBDX account.
Log in to https://dashboard.geobigdata.io with your GBDX credentials.
Under Account Settings, Account Information, select the button that says "Manage your GBDX S3 contents.
If you click the "Manage your S3 Contents" button and receive an error saying your credentials are invalid, do the following:
- Select the "To logout, click here" link to log out of the AWS S3 console.
- Return to the Accounts Tab on the GBDX Dashboard (dashboard.geobigdata.io) and click the "Manage your S3 Contents" button again. You should now see your GBDX S3 contents.
- If this still does not work, please contact our Technical Support team by email at [email protected]
The ""Manage your GBDX S3 contents" button will take you to the Amazon S3 Management Console. The file structure for your account will be displayed.
The "Download" link will be grayed out until you select a specific file. Directories and folders cannot be downloaded using the S3 Console.
In this example, the "Download" link is grayed out because a file has not been selected yet.
Once a specific file is selected, the options to open, download, download as, and copy the path are available. The Make Public option will not work due to security restrictions.
Downloading multiple files or folders is not supported in the S3 Console. Each file must be downloaded separately. To download multiple files or folders, use the GBDX S3 Storage Service with AWS CLI.
Not all features offered in the S3 Console work with GBDX data. For example, files cannot be set to public.
The S3 Console does not support uploading files larger than 80 GB.
